I wanna give a huge thank you to all the participants on this project and I also wanna say thank you to the listener who chose to read this and vibe !My third beat tape is finally here ! When Sounds Collide Vol. 1 is a collaborative project that I started back in late December and worked all the way through winter. I ended up finishing most of my separate loops back in February and began the whole unification or fusion of sounds process for lack of better words soon after . lol This is easily my greatest body of work (currently) on a diversity, sound, and innovative scale . The idea stemmed from influences like King Thelonious and Mf Doom . I'm a huge fan of cartoons myself and loved how Doom incorporated fantastic four and doctor doom cartoon sound bits, and I heard King Thelonious' Late Night Programming and how he used tuning aspects of sound from television; and that was it . lol . I had this distinctive concept, I wanted to utilize cartoons but do it my way but at the same time make it original . It was complex at first, so I sought out my homies without really thinking it all the way through . I figured God shot me the vision, this is all I need . Luckily enough, since I'm blessed and fortunate enough to have made close friends throughout the beat community on here they reluctantly agreed and thus began the journey . I wanted this to be different from everything I had ever done ! I let my collaborators choose their respected cartoons, and we meshed that together with our samples . Turned out great, especially for an experiment that even though I trusted wasn't entirely sure would succeed . Life's funny that way sometimes even though you're a believer. I didn't want rappers or anyone to flow on this so its created and put together to stay true to the concept of the vision and just paying homage to my imagination and childhood really . Pay attention to the subtle things too, you may appreciate what i was aiming to do better . Use your imagination and enjoy ! I truly hope you vibe to this ! Thank you all !
